Lighting Studio Guidelines
We have a large curtain system installed in the studio.
By default, during open lab hours, the Lighting Studio is split into separate bays (Bay A and Bay B) via the curtains. Please be aware that another shoot may already be occurring in the other Bay, so please be mindful of others using this space. Bay Boundaries: At no point in time should you exceed the boundaries of the Bay you have an appointment for. If you are shooting in Lighting Studio A, you should only be in Lighting Studio A. If you are shooting in Lighting Studio B you should only be in Lighting Studio B
Common Area: Must be kept open so that all students can access the shared materials (seamless, softboxes, flags, etc.). It must also be clear so people can enter and exit the Lighting Studio. SD Cards: Please note that we do not provide SD Cards in the Cameras in the Lighting Studio. Students must have their own SD Cards when using the Lighting Studio. Reserving Both Bays: If you are having a shoot in the Lighting Studio that requires more space or privacy and would like to request the use of both Bay A and Bay B, please contact the Tech Office at least one week in advance. The Tech Office will then review your request and reserve Both Bays for you at your desired appointment time.
Longer Appointment Time: If you are having a shoot that requires longer than the standard during open lab hours (4 hours) please contact the Tech Office at least two weeks in advance of your shoot. The Tech Office will then review your request and reserve the space for you at you desired appointment time.
Due to the high volume of lab appointments in the Lighting Studio, requests for both bays or longer appointment times cannot be guaranteed.
