Thanksgiving Break 2026

Equipment
ALL NON-THANKSGIVING BREAK EQUIPMENT
MUST BE RETURNED BY TUESDAY, 11/17, BEFORE 4PM.


Thanksgiving Equipment Checkout
When you place a Thanksgiving Break equipment reservation, please mark in the notes section that it is for Thanksgiving Break. Please note that there will be no extensions on Thanksgiving Break Equipment Reservations.

Equipment Reservation

• Monday, 11/16, 10AM: Graduate Photography Majors and Undergraduate Senior and Junior Photography Majors may begin placing equipment reservations for Thanksgiving Break.

• Tuesday, 11/17, 10AM: All other students actively enrolled in a Photography course may begin placing equipment reservations for Thanksgiving Break.

• Wednesday, 11/18, 6PM: Thanksgiving Break Equipment Reservations CLOSE.

PLEASE NOTE ANY THANKSGIVING BREAK RESERVATIONS RECEIVED BEFORE 10AM on 11/16 or 11/17 WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.


Equipment Pick Up & Return

• Thursday, 11/19, 10AM - 6PM and Friday, 11/20, 10AM - 4PM: Thanksgiving Break Equipment can be picked up.

• Monday, 11/30, 10AM - 6PM: All Thanksgiving Break equipment must be returned.  Equipment reservations will not be accepted on this day.

• Tuesday, 12/1, 10AM - 6PM: Normal equipment reservation resumes.

Please note that the Equipment and Facilities Use Agreement submitted during the Fall 2026 semester is valid. This means that you are responsible for the cost of repair or replacement should any equipment come back damaged or not at all.

If you are found not to have completed the Equipment and Facilities Use Agreement when you submit a Thanksgiving Break Reservation, you will first be asked to complete the form before your equipment is confirmed. You may find that form linked HERE.

*If traveling, please note that NO equipment should be placed in your checked baggage, or leave the country.

**If your Equipment is returned after 6PM on Monday, 11/30, it will be considered late subject to our Equipment Penalty Policy.


Labs

Tuesday, 11/24:  All Undergraduate Digital Labs, Darkroom, Non-Silver Lab, the Lighting Studio, and The Photography Tech Office will close at 7PM.

Wednesday, 11/25 - Sunday, 11/29:  All Undergraduate Digital Labs, Digital Labs, Darkroom, Non-Silver Lab, Lighting Studio, and The Photography Tech Office will be CLOSED.

Monday, 11/30: Regular Lab hours resume.

***Graduate students may continue to use D-07 and C-05, but technical staff support will be unavailable from 11/25 to 11/29. If you encounter an issue, please email techoffice@pratt.edu so it can be fixed after Thanksgiving Break.
